History:
Chute Cricket Club can trace some of its history back to 1885, and while there have been periods when no cricket has been played in the Chutes, the current club is growing and prospering. The current focus is to continue developing the club through playing friendly but competitive cricket, by encouraging youngsters, and above all, developing the skills and enthusiasm of all those who are interested in contributing.

The Club:
Home games are played on the King George V Playing Field in Lower Chute, where a thoroughly modern and well equipped pavilion provides all the requisite facilities. While this is a shared village facility, the cricket square is protected and especially cared for. In September 2008, 2 new wickets were laid down, so the 2009 season promises to be even better than before.
